BTM's 'Pre- Pujo Dhamaka' on 6-8 Sept. at Jai Hind Banquet, Bhawanipur

BTM is organizing 'Pre- Pujo Dhamaka', an expo-cum-sale of boutique, jewellery, cosmetics, organic skin care products, gift items, hand made perfumes, chocolates, food etc. at Jai Hind Banquet (beside Bijoli Cinema Hall, Bhawanipur) on 6th, 7th and 8th of September.
    A few years ago a group of strong-willed women, led by the dynamic Paromita Ghosh, have united together to form BTM, a popular group on Facebook. BTM members take a stand not only to create their identity, but also to fulfill dreams of many ladies who have earlier given up their aspirations. BTM also support many under-privileged people.
    This will be BTM's 4th exhibition and each of the previous ones were roaring successes.  

   Through this expo, BTM members have decided to raise funds for Charity before Durga Pujo to gift a smile to many needy persons.

23rd Aug. at KG Memorial Hall, Sealdah marked the launch of Auditions for 'Hello Kolkata STYLE ICON', presented by Annie Jain, supported by 'Sangbedan'.

Enlightenment Session on Career Building at 'Hello Kolkata Studio'

'Hello Kolkata'(3D News, Events & Films) had organized an interactive session on career prospects and how to develop oneself at its Salt Lake Studio (IA-60, Sec-3) on 18th Aug. 

    The erudite Guest Speakers included Nitesh Choudhary (Educational Entrepreneur, Owner of  'IITF', a training centre of Computer Courses and Competitive Exams at Uttarpara), Sudip Sinha (NLP Practitioner, Motivator and Wellness Coach), Avra Das (Technical Entrepreneur) and Sukrajit Dhali (HR Personnel and Socio-Cultural Promoter). 

    Each of the speakers touched on important aspects of career building, with special focus on current socio-economic trends.

   The four erudite special guests were felicitated on behalf of 'Hello Kolkata' for their individual excellence.

    Youngster Sneha Dhali's songs regaled the sparse yet attentive audience, that included social activist Sangita Dhali, Rinki Shaw, Subham Shaw and tabla expert Syamantak Mishra.

The Annual Blood Donation Camp of Lake Gardens Falguni Sangha, a popular and well known social organization, was conducted on 18th August. According to Arup Dutta (Working President), the total donors were 106.     A music video named "Aar Kono Kotha Noi" by Rupankar and Sumana Samanta Mukherjee was released at Angel Digital Pvt Ltd’s office in presence of singer Sumana Samanta Mukherjee, Angel Digital Media's head Sumit Pal, Angel Digital's M.D. Akash Tantiya and other dignitaries.
  The lyrics of the song is by Kabir Mohsin Reza who hails from Bangladesh. The music is by Palas Das.
     Sumana mentioned that Kabir Mohsin Reza took the initiative to make six singles under the album name of 'Bhalobashar Akashe'. Sumana has sung the songs and one song has been sung by eminent singer Pallab Ghosh.

Sofia Khan wins 'Excellence Award'

 

Sofia Khan, a renowned social activist won  'Supreme National Excellence Award 2019' from 'Anti-Terrorism Crime and Corruption Front'. It was organised by Lakshmi Singh (Editor of 'Glamorous You' magazine), Harpreet Singh Tony and Dr. Nameeta Singh.

   The Award was presented to Sofia Khan by actor Arbaaz khan and model Georgia Andriani.

   Sofia Khan has been doing great work for many years. She is working with many NGOs like Udaan Empowering Women (Secretary), Rotary Club of  Calcutta Universe (Secretary) Sarparast Literacy Movement (State President), etc. 

   Sofia wants to bring several changes in society and her role model is Mother Teresa.               

Horizons

Rotary District 3291, headed by DG RTN Ajay Agarwal, organised Membership Seminar 'Horizons', hosted by Rotary Club of Calcutta Yuvis on 17th August at Haldiram Banquet. 
   The event focused on was how Rotary is reaching to underprivileged people. For this initiative they need huge manpower to meet their goals. The seminar was organised to motivate people to join this movement of Rotary with the aim 'Service Above Self' that will 'Connect the World'. Event was well attended by more then 200 persons including Rotary Members, District officials and proposed members. 
  District Membership Chair PDF Debashish Mitra lauded the event and President RTN Ashish Agarwal and his team of Yuvis played key role in meeting the theme and success of the event.

পুজো কমিটি গুলিকে আয়কর দপ্তরের নোটিশ নিয়ে তৃনমূলের কুৎসা ও বিজেপিকে কালিমালিপ্তর বিরুদ্ধে মুখ খুললেন বিজেপি সম্পাদক অমিতাভ রায়। তিনি জানান, ২০১৯ লোকসভা নির্বাচনে তৃনমূলের ভরাডুবি এবং হিন্দু ভোট কে ফিরিয়ে আনতে এই মিথ্যার বাতাবরণ তৈরি করেছে। আসল ব্যাপার টা অমিতাভ বাবু জানান যে, ২০১৮ সালের কিছু ঠিকাদারি সংস্থা সময় মতো আয়কর জমা না দেওয়াতে, পুজো কমিটি গুলিকে চিঠি দিয়ে জানতে চাওয়া হয়েছে।
এছাড়াও কলকাতার বিভিন্ন বড়ো বড়ো পুজো কমিটিতে সারদা,নারদায় এবং চিৎফান্ড কেলেঙ্কারিতে যুক্ত আছেন তৃণমূলের প্রভাবশালী নেতা-মন্ত্রীরা।পুজোতে অনুদানের ক্ষেত্রেও ছিল তাদের জোরজুলুম, কাউকে অন্যদিকে সুবিধা দেওয়ার নামে মোটা অংকের অনুদান ও পেত। এই সময়ে সারা বাংলা জুড়ে বিদ্যুৎ এর প্রবল ঘাটতি দেখা যায়, কিন্তু বিদ্যুৎ এর বিলের ক্ষেত্রেও প্রভাব ঘাটিয়ে সম্পুর্ন বিল পরিশোধ করতো না। যার মাশুল ঘুনতে হতো সাধারণ মানুষ কে, ইউনিট প্রতি বার্ধিত দাম চুকিয়ে। যে পুজো কমিটি গুলি যতো বেশি দর্শনার্থী টানতে পারতো,সেই পুজো কমিটি গুলি বিজ্ঞাপন বাবদ ততো বেশি টাকা আয় করতো। মোদ্দা কথা তৃনমুলের কাছে দুর্গো পুজো টাকা আয়ের আরেকটি উৎস,বললেন অমিতাভ বাবু। তিনি আরও জানান এ বছর অনেক বড় পুজো কমিটি গুলিকে আয়কর দপ্তরের পক্ষ থেকে বিশেষ প্রশিক্ষণ দেওয়া হয়েছে,যাতে করে স্বচ্চতার সংগে পুজো অনুষ্ঠিত করে। দুর্গা পুজার নামে বাঙালির মনে আঘাত দেওয়া এবং যে নোংরা রাজনীতির চেষ্টা শাসক দল চালাচ্ছে, তার বিরুদ্ধে তীব্র আন্দোলন করতেও পিছপা হবে না বিজেপির তরফ থেকে,হুঁশিয়ারী দিয়ে রাখলেন বিজেপির অন্যতম সম্পাদক অমিতাভ রায়।

 'Pre-Independence Day Fiesta'  by  'Hello Kolkata' 

'Hello Kolkata' (3D News, Events and Films) had organized 'Pre-Independence Day Fiesta' on 12th Aug. at KG Memorial Hall. The cultural program was well supported by Annie Jain (Annie's Creation) and Rudra Sen (Daffodil Incorporate).  Social Welfare Partners were 'Adya Ma Seva Samity', 'Sangbedan', BTM and 'Jyotsna - A Ray of Light', Media Partners were 'Mukhyabarta', 'Kolkata Vision' and 'Nirvik Kantha', Gift Partner was 'Agomoini Events'.

      Rajat Talukdar received recognition as 'Special Mention' for his two films - 'Maa' and 'Left Overs'.

Indian Idol season 11 creates buzz as Indian Idol 10 winner Salman Ali and ex-contestant Renu Nagar winds up the auditions in Kolkata

After roaring success of the Indian Idol season 10, Sony Entertainment Television brings another enthralling season of Indian Idol with extra dose of entertainment. Opening doors to the new generation of young singers, who dream of making it BIG in music industry, Indian Idol 11 started off its multi-city auditions for the 11^th season in Kolkata. Indian Idol 10 winner Salman Ali and Ex contestant Renu Nagar was present in the city to select the talents. The auditions were a brilliant success with 1,220 contestants auditioning for the show.

Entire city participated whole heartedly and auditions witnessed great enthusiasm of aspirants in huge numbers who put their best skills to play and showcased their musical talent. Once selected, the judges will guide, nurture, mentor and introduce these young singers and prepare them for the coveted title.

Govt. of Punjab announces Seed Potato Traceability and Certification Program

To protect the interest of the Punjab farmers and uphold the state’s leadership position/image as the largest potato seed producing state, the Department of Agriculture and Welfare, Government of Punjab will soon undertake certification and traceability of seed potato to ensure optimum transparency. This initiative comes in the wake of unscrupulous elements indulging in malpractice of aggregating seed potato from other states and mis-branding the same as Punjab Potato seed. This has led to the loss of market for Punjab farmers at national and international level. In this regard, Punjab Agri-Export Corporation (PAGREXCO) will be appointed as the outsourcing agency for undertaking traceability based seed potato certification through IT software/module.

   To achieve the twin objective of traceability & transparency in the potato seed certification program, PAGREXCO would get the traceability work done through Agri-based IT portal. 

   To start with, the farmers’ data base will be digitized in addition to providing them access to technical know-how on crop planning and management, inputs, credit, post-harvest management, value addition, and improved market linkages. The centralized platform would also help to capture all relevant information through a simple mobile application and give dashboard based insights on the data captured thereby ensuring traceability of the entire value chain. Once implemented, this program is poised to become a game changer for seed potato growers as it is designed to increase profitability for the farmers and minimize risk through modern farming techniques.

Speaking on this Mr. Manjit Brar, Managing Director, Punjab Agro Industries Corporation Limited said, “Punjab produces about 27 lac metric ton of potatoes annually and supplies about 60-70% seed potato to the domestic & global markets. Our initiative has been designed with sole intention of protecting our farmers from further financial loss. We are confident that our concerted efforts coupled with the smart use of technology can successfully stop the miscreants from their devious intentions."

   In order to scale up this work as well as to protect the interest of small farmers of Punjab, PAGREXCO would undertake the activities pertaining to branding and certification of the seed potato of Punjab, forward linkages within India and abroad for marketing and sale of Punjab potato seed, set up a laboratory for potato seed sample testing, etc.

   Kolkata is the biggest potato seed buyer from Punjab.

   Punjab potato seed is unique in the sense that it’s completely disease free. They are produced in a region which is free from brown rot and ring rot, a type of quarantine disease which causes the rotting of tubers.

    Punjab Agricultural University has substantial evidence based on elaborate surveys that affirms the fact that Punjab Seed potato is produced in a region which is also free from potato tuber moth.

The song has been arranged and produced by Bodhisattwa Ghosh, who has also performed guitar duties, while Aakash Ganguly is on bass, Gaurab Chatterjee on drums and Sudipto Paul is on keys.

প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদি কে দেখে অনুপ্রাণিত হয়ে দেশের সেবায় নিজেকে উজাড় করে দিতে চান সিনিয়র সাংবাদিক এবং টলউড ও বলিউডের প্রখ্যাত প্রোডিউসার অয়নজিৎ বাবু। ইতিমধ্যেই তিনি ভারতীয় জনতা পার্টিতে যোগ দিয়ে সেই ইঙ্গিত দিয়ে রাখলেন, মূলত প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদির কিছু দুঃসাহসিক কার্যকলাপ যেমন,নোট বাতিল, জিএসটি,সার্জিক্যাল স্ট্রাইক এবং পুলওয়ামা কান্ডের পর পাকিস্তান কে যোগ্য জবাব,এছাড়াও সাম্প্রতিক কালে জম্মু-কাশ্মীর থেকে ৩৭০ ধারা বিলুপ্তিতে তিনি আরও বেশি উৎসাহিত হলেন। দেশ অথবা রাজ্য দুটি ক্ষেত্রেই নিজেকে নিয়োজিত করতে চান, বিজেপির রাজ্য নেতৃত্ব ও এই ধরনের একজন মানুষ কে পেয়ে আপ্লুত।

টলিউডে সহ-অভিনেত্রীদের মধ্যে  অন্যতম তিনি, শারীরিক অসুস্থতাও হারাতে পারেনি তাঁকে। সংগীত শিল্পী হিসেবে আত্মপ্রকাশ, এর জন্য সুদূর বেড়াচঁাপা থেকে কলকাতায় বিখ্যাত রবীন্দ্র শিল্পী শ্রাবণী সেনের কাছে গান শেখা এবং দেখার তাগিদে এর ওর কাছে প্রচুর ছোটাছুটি করেছিলেন। এর পিছনে বাবা মায়ের প্রবল উৎসাহ ছিল, একটা সময় শারীরিক অসুস্থতা ক্যারিয়ার প্রায় শেষ হতে চলেছিল। কিন্তু গুরুমা লাজবন্তী রায়ের তত্ত্বাবধানে ফিরে আসার লড়াই শুরু করে দেন।ভিডিও মিউজিক আ্যলবাম করতে করতে অভিনয় জগতে প্রবেশ করার পর বিভিন্ন মেগাসিরয়াল যেমন, জয়ী,সাত ভাই চম্পা, রাখী বন্ধন প্রভৃতি তে সহ অভিনেত্রী ছিলেন। এরপর জিতের বাঘ বন্দী খেলা,আড্ডা ও হিন্দি সিরিয়াল "তেরি গলিয়া' তে অভিনয় করেন।
স্টেজ পারফর্মেন্স এর সময় সংগীত এবং অভিনয় সমান্তরাল ভাবে করে দর্শকদের মন জয় করে নেন। মুখ্য চরিত্রে অভিনয় করেছেন একটি বাংলা সিনেমায়,এখন শুধু রিলিজের অপেক্ষায়।

PhonePe clocks 335 Million transactions in July

 

PhonePe, announced that it has achieved an annual TPV (Total payment volume) run-rate of $95 billion while clocking 335 Million transactions in July. PhonePe’s TPV run-rate has grown nearly 5X in the past year, since crossing the $20Bn mark in June 2018. This phenomenal growth has come on the back of the exponential expansion of PhonePe’s merchant network, both online and offline.

PhonePe has invested aggressively on its marketing activities this year and was the official co-presenting sponsor for the TV broadcast of VIVO IPL 2019 and the Official co-presenting sponsor for the TV broadcast of ICC World Cup 2019.

Talent Round of "India's Best Face1" at 'Hello Kolkata Studio'

    Mrs. Bindiya Bhattacharjee, Founder & Owner Of India's Best Face1 conducted 1st "Talent Round" of IBF1 on 4th August at 'Hello Kolkata Studio', IA-60, Sec-3, Salt Lake.

    About 20 talented youngsters put forth their talent in acting, singing and dancing.

Save Water Save Life -

On 4th of August a successful rally was held near Dumdum Sithir Mor at 5 pm in evening organised by Kolkata Alor Disha Social Welfare. This rally was smoothly conducted by the members present in the this organization and many people also supported this rally which highlights on the simple cohesive step "Save Water, Save Life” to spread awareness of the environment among the peoples. This initiative was taken only to support conservation of water and the main reason of this rally was to list the ways of saving water to support life and the possible ways to reserve water saving methods.

The Third Edition of Dance Bridges Festival Explores Intimate Stories from Around the World

 Dance Bridges Festival has become a much awaited encounter for performing arts aficionados, placing Kolkata firmly on the map of international arts festivals. This dance biennale founded in 2015 by Vanessa Maria Mirza supported by an international team based in the U.K, Taiwan and France has grown from strength to strength. Now in its third edition, there will be no less than 40 artists hailing from 15 countries to take part in this 5 day art extravaganza working around the theme of “The Sense of Intimacy” from August 1 to 5, 2019. Apart from Vanessa, associate director Dam Van Huynh from UK and artistic programmer Pierre Palluet were also present for the curtain raiser. 

The opening day performances took place at ICCR featuring Asomates Dynameis Dance Company (Cypress), Tijmur Dance Theatre (Taiwan), Gabrielle Revlock (USA) a piece by Vanessa Maria Mirza and Martin Piliponsky Braier (Argentina). The festival saw participation from other renowned dance groups and artists like Massala Dance Company, Florent Schwartz, Harm Weistra, Julianna Ottlick, Compagnie Humaine, Dadans, Papia Chakraborty, Buoyant Performing Arts, Syimah Sabtu, Subhajit Khush Das, Stefano Fardelli, Parth Bharadwaj, Pintu Das, Van Huyhn Company, Pietro Marullo, Casey Avaunt, Diya Naidu, Purnendra Meshram and Vanessa Maria Mirza.

An exciting and inspiring sporting event Zee Bangla Football League'19 ends with a special felicitation ceremony .
 

ZEE Bangla presented a splendid cultural program and awards ceremony. This Program was held on 31 July at ITC Royal Bengal, Kolkata. Where came as a Chief Guest Mr Sourav Ganguly (Former Indian cricketer) and also came those celebs of sports & culture sector who had graced the occasion.In this year Zee Bangla 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa' joint runner up singer Gaurav and Snigdhajit was showed their talent by sing some songs for the audience.

 Actually East Bengal and Mahun Bagan was joint winners in this tournament (ZBFLU19). Both team had got 40 lakhs as a prize money. Keshab Dhara (SBD) got the 'Golden Glove' as the best goalkeeper, Subha Ghosh (MB) got the 'Golden Boot' as the top scorer in this tournament and Deep Saha (EB) got 'Golden Ball' for being the player of the tournament.
