On the occasion of World Youth Skill Day, children from 14 Samagra Shiksha Mission schools participated in Skill Exhibition. The Exhibition was organized by Tomorrow’s Foundation and supported by Salaam Bombay Foundation in association with Samagra Shiksha Mission, Kolkata. Some participating schools were Janakalyan Shiksha Sadan, Sahapur Girls’ High School, Prantapally Boys, Behala Girls’ School among others. Mr. Sunder Bandyopadhyay, Samagra Shiksha Mission graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour. The project is aimed to support the dreams of underprivileged students. Ulto Rathayatra Utsav' on 12th July eve marked the fitting finale of Cultural Fiesta (3-12 July) organized by 'Newtown Shukhobrishti Jagannath Society' at its complex, informed Subhodeep Mallick, Secretary, NSJS.

36th Installation Ceremony of Rotary Club of Central Kolkata
The 36th Installation Ceremony of Rotary Club of Central Kolkata was held on 13th July at Haldiram Banquets. Present in the occasion were the Club President Neeraj Agrawal, Club Secretary Ashish Bagla, Chief Guest District Governor Ajay Agarwal and the Guest of Honour Shri V.K. Bhandari.
According to the Club President Niraj Agarwal, 100 Projects will be done by Central Calcutta in 100th year of Rotary in India. The deserving winner was Madhusmita Sasmal ('Jagannath Special') and joint runner-ups were Sweta Srivastava ('Kaddu Ki Barfi') and Madhumita Ghosh ('Radhaballavi').
Other contestants who presented delicious dishes of various items were Chandana Das, Madhuri Mahato, Pinki Bose, Monalisa Chakraborty, Queen Kumari, Sushmita Pramanik, Sanjana Kukunur, Saswati Bose and Smita Chakraborty.
The Jury Members were Magician Somnath, Atun and Sukanya Roy.
Magician Somnath also put up a scintillating magic show after the cooking contest to regale the audience, comprising of all ages.
Ms. Smita Charaborty, Cultural Secy., Ms. Chandan Mallick and Mr. Subhodeep Mallick, Org. Secy. of 'Newtown Shukhobrishti Jagannath Society' put in their best efforts to make the cooking fiesta a grand success.

Instagram ties up with YLAC India for Counter Speech Fellowship in Kolkata
Instagram, in association with Young Leaders for Active Citizenship (YLAC), launched its flagship youth program - the Counter Speech Fellowship. Coming to Kolkata for the second time in two years, the Fellowship is a part of Instagram’s efforts to be the safest and kindest platform for teens to express themselves, informed Tara Bedi, Public Policy and Community Outreach Manager, Instagram, India.
The Counter Speech Fellowship engages creative teens to use the power of visual storytelling to start meaningful conversations on issues that are important to young citizens around the world. The program is built around the idea of using arts for positive expression and advocacy, and is designed as an incubator for the future generation of leaders and activists. Newtown Shukhobrishti Jagannath Society' has organized a mega fiesta- 'Lord of the Universe Fest' ('Rathayatra Utsav') from 3 - 12 July at Newtown Shukhobrishti Complex.

Two New Music Albums
Eagle Eye Entertainment and Angel Digital had officially released their wo music albums - "Tara Tui To Amar Maa" and "Tor Ai Valobasari Chhoya Ke". The glittering ceremony was held at Kolkata Press Club on 4th July eve.
